Greetings, My name is J'Corey Lamar Williams and I am a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. I earned my Associates Degree in Business from Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC), in Bossier City, Louisiana. While attending BPCC, I was able to be a part of the campus staff where I was honored and proud to serve with many hats. Those accolades consist of as social media and promotions for the Public Relations and Student life Departments, the campus disc jockey - DJ (GoDJ J’Corey), a Student Government Association Representative, one of the Cavalier Express Student Recruiters, and served on the Disciplinary Committee for the 2018-2019 academic school year. Having such various positions at BPCC, it gave me an opportunity to gather knowledge from various avenues about how to work with others as well as the ins and outs of how to conduct business effectively and properly. After completing and obtaining my Associates Degree, I went on to be accepted into NorthernWestern State University (NSU) in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Here I have the privilege of serving as Presidential Ambassador. I am in my second-year at NSU, pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with; in which I want to extend my educational background in marketing/promotions to better understand the world of business more so in the area of my career as a DJ. I am a former marketing intern at Sodexo, and a former Full Time BPCC Recruiter. Furthermore, I have been given the opportunity to continue with my passion and career as a DJ for many stations in Louisiana such as the DJ coordinator for KNWD 91.7 FM, and Mixshow DJ for GO 104.5 (WGDJ_BD), WBIT 97.9 The Beat, IHeartRadio, IKonRadio, Shade45, NerveDJsRadio, StreetMaddnessRadio, DirtySouthRadio, and QSMRadio. I’m the President of GoDjs Global. Additional responsibilities as a DJ have included coordinating the street team and the social media duties for local Louisiana/Texas K104FM radio personality Hollywood BayBay and Cumulus Media (99.7 FM, Magic 102.9 FM, KRMD 101.1 FM, i973 FM, and The Ticket Sports) in Shreveport/Bossier City. As you can see, I have extensive knowledge and experience as a DJ, as well as gaining continuous resources and knowledge around marketing.
