Taking care of your new tattoo is more common sense than directed practice. If I sent you out with an adhesive bandage, please leave it on for 4-5 days to accelerate the heal and protect your new tattoo. Once it is time to remove the bandage, be sure you do it under warm running water or in the shower. Patiently stretch it until it is fully removed, then wash the tattoo thoroughly with just a clean hand. (no towels!) if any adhesive residue is left behind, you can remove it with baby oil or coconut oil, but be sure not to scrun the tattoo too hard. It is better to have some sticky stuff on your skin than a raw tattoo. After the bandage, just keep it clean with unscented liquid antibacterial hand soap (dial gold is a good one) and moisturized with a water-based unscented lotion such (most brands have one). It should take about 2 weeks of daily attention for your tattoo to feel like normal skin, but heal times vary depending on many factors.
