BuddieRoe is a true student of the game. The proclaimed “Southside Basquiat” has taken inspiration from both West-coast and Southern greats to create a sound that manages to somehow feel refreshing and timeless at the same time. Never one to cheat his fans, he treats every song like a story and guides his listeners to help understand every intricate bar. Darin Venters (BuddieRoe) has a resume few can compare to. Hailing from Houston, Texas, the talented MC burst onto the city’s underground scene with a victory over some of the south’s most formidable rappers at H-Town Rap Battle. This set the scene for a wave of well-received collaborations, which included artists the likes of Slim Thug, Lil Keke, Delorean, and Doughbeezy. None of these projects overshadowed BuddiesRoe’s individual prowess, who steadily continued to grow his fanbase over the next few years with memorable projects such as Caste Views: The Mixtape, SunRise Over BriarGate, and Based On True Events. These releases highlighted his one-of-a-kind sound and set the stage for him to open for Bun B at Spotify Presents: Rap Caviar in 2017. Since, BuddieRoe has been on a nonstop climb including being Featured on best selling video game NBA2K22 with songs “Flying Into Fire” and “Follow Me”.
