I'm a force-free, positive reinforcement dog trainer based in Arlington, TN. I've been training full-time since 2013. I have a certification in Canine Emotion & Cognition from Duke University. My specialties include puppy socialization and training, canine learning and cognition, canine behavior modification, canine nutrition, and service dog training. I train dogs of all types, breeds and ages. I never use any painful or frightening tools or methods in any of my training, nor do I use punishment of any kind. All my work is based on the most modern scientific research about how dogs think, behave and learn. I do a 7 to 10 day board and train where your dog stays with me for the entire time. The training is guaranteed for your dog's lifetime. At the end your dog will bring home a dental care kit, a front attach harness, a dog-safe ball, and a 20 ft leash for practicing recall. You'll get all the training material you need to practice what your dog learned, you get two 90 minute private follow-up private lessons, and lifetime support from me. If something goes wrong with the training I provided at any point in the dog's lifetime, I'll fix the problem at no additional charge. The skills I teach are: Recall (come when called) Say hello (no jumping) Sit/stay Down/stay Stand/stay Polite leash skills Go to place Leave it Drop it Watch me Multiple focus exercises Wait there Muzzle training Socialization Crate training Collar grabs Shake/Paw Lifting (small dogs only) Trading for treats Games: Find it (search for treats) Which hand (choose which hand a treat is in) Touch (touch dog's nose to owner's hand) Sprinkle (foraging for treats) Wild animal (learning calm behavior) Husbandry: Dental care Nail care Body handling My puppy program includes all of the above, plus multiple socialization outings for your puppy before their formal training week. The cost of the programs is $1,200. I also train service dogs and therapy dogs. Those programs are custom built and priced based on what the client needs from their dog.
